Candace Jeffery Photography's Blog bio picture
  • Welcome to our blog!

We believe in love. Real, passionate love that lasts a lifetime. For the past 9 years we've been lucky enough to have the privilege of freezing special moments of love for many happy couples. We find it extremely fulfilling to be able to photograph couples during this time. It is our goal to develop lifelong relationships with our clients. The love that we share as husband and wife for each other and our 3 children inspires us to photograph other couples in love.

Some quick technical stuff: Candace graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2002. Josh began photographing weddings with Candace in 2006. We are members of Professional Photographers of America, and the ever exciting CT PUG group. We limit ourselves in the number of weddings that we take on per year, so that each of our clients to feel like they are the only ones we have. We believe that the beauty that we capture on your most special day deserves to be displayed only with the highest quality products. We never want our clients to be anything less than 100% satisfied with our talent, professionalism, and passion for excellence. We are based in CT and are available and excited to travel internationally to photograph your event!

A Rainy day wedding at Mystic Seaport – Chelsea and Bill!

Remember that crazy stormy day a couple weeks ago?  That was Chelsea and Bill’s wedding day, at Mystic Seaport, with flash flood warnings coming in!  We loved so many things about this Nautical themed, multi-colored wedding.  Check out how cute the invitations, flowers, mismatched shoes and cardigans and clear umbrellas are.  After getting ready at the Mystic Marriott in Groton, we headed over to Latitude 41 for some rainy day wedding portraits.  Their ceremony was held under the tent over over looking the water, and their reception was inside the River Room at Latitude 41.  We hope you enjoy the photos, we certainly had fun at the wedding!  Full list of vendors at the end of the post.

A Newtown CT engagement session – Kimie and Dennis!

Kimie and Dennis are getting married this October at The Heritage Hotel in Southbury CT.  I shot their engagement session, first at their home so we could get some photos with the dogs, and then at Fairfield Hills in Newtown.  Many thanks to Naomi’s Salon for doing such a great job on her makeup!

La Bella Vista Wedding – Sarah and Steve!

Josh and I had really been looking forward to Sarah and Steve’s wedding ever since their beautiful, sun-filled engagement session last year.  Although it was almost 100* last Friday when they got married, everyone was in very good spirits and it made our job very easy.  We loved their colors, coral and grey, and especially loved the location they chose to do their portraits: Taft School in Watertown.  Their ceremony was held at St. John the Evangelist and their reception was at La Bella Vista.  Please enjoy the photos!  (Complete list of vendors at the end of the post.)

A Bushnell Park Engagement Session – Katie and Matt!

We had a bit of a rainy day for Katie and Matt’s engagement session last week.  But we have such awesome clients that you wouldn’t even know it.  Maegan and I met up with Katie and Matt at Bushnell Park first, then we went over to the Capitol Building, and ended on The Founders Bridge.  Larissa Lake Makeup Artist did Katie’s hair and makeup.  We are really looking forward to their wedding next year at The Society Room.  Enjoy the photos!
