Candace Jeffery Photography's Blog bio picture
  • Welcome to our blog!

We believe in love. Real, passionate love that lasts a lifetime. For the past 12 years we've been lucky enough to have the privilege of freezing special moments of love for many happy couples. We find it extremely fulfilling to be able to photograph couples during this time. It is our goal to develop lifelong relationships with our clients. The love that we share as husband and wife for each other and our 3 children inspires us to photograph other couples in love.

Some quick technical stuff: Candace graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2002. Josh began photographing weddings with Candace in 2006. We are members of Professional Photographers of America, and the ever exciting CT PUG group. We limit ourselves in the number of weddings that we take on per year, so that each of our clients to feel like they are the only ones we have. We believe that the beauty that we capture on your most special day deserves to be displayed only with the highest quality products. We never want our clients to be anything less than 100% satisfied with our talent, professionalism, and passion for excellence. We are based in CT and are available and excited to travel internationally to photograph your event!

A Mystic Seaport Wedding – Cat and Chad, Part 2!

Here is part 2 of Cat and Chad’s Mystic Seaport Wedding!  Click here to view the first part of their wedding.  We loved all of the nautical details that Amy Champagne Events helped put together to bring their “tying the knot” theme to life.  Their ceremony was right in front of the lighthouse, and their reception was at the Boat shed in Mystic Seaport.  We were lucky enough to sneak out for some more portraits after the sun had gone down, there were just so many beautiful locations for photos there!  Enjoy the photos:)

A Mystic Seaport Wedding – Catherine and Chad, part 1!

We absolutely fell in love with Cat and Chad‘s wedding!  Not only are they the sweetest couple, but they truly made us feel so important to them by allowing us so much time and creative freedom for their portraits.  They scheduled their “First Look” a good 4 hours before their ceremony, with three separate locations picked out.  I am splitting their wedding post into two parts, because there are so many great photos to choose from:) Their wedding was expertly planned and executed with the assistance of Amy Champagne Events, and the beautiful flowers were designed by Hana Floral Design.  The blue and green color scheme worked perfectly for this nautical wedding.  Here is the first half of the day, with the ceremony and reception to follow in the next post.  Enjoy!

A Wickham Park Wedding – Kara and Dan!

What a beautiful day it was for Kara and Dan’s wedding at Wickham Park!  The park was the perfect location for both their ceremony and reception because it was laid back, relaxing, local and provided the perfect setting for friends and family to mingle and enjoy the weather.  The pink and grey wedding colors worked perfectly here as did the simple centerpieces and feminine bouquets.  Kara and Dan, you both looked so amazing and we hope that you love your photos!

The Fox Hill Inn Wedding – Heather and Rob!

Heather and Rob‘s wedding was absolutely one of our favorites for this year!  We never like to choose favorites (we do have three children you know, lol) but we had been waiting for this wedding for about two years now, and it did not disappoint.  Around every corner was a pleasant surprise that just made our job so wonderful.  From the freshly redecorated room for Heather to get ready in, to the ever helpful and super fun bridal party, to the beautiful Topsmead State Forest for wedding portraits, to the gorgeous sunlight we had for the photos when we knew the clouds wanted to burst at any second, and finally to the ever talented Mike from AMS for the beautiful uplighting at The Fox Hill Inn.  Honestly, everything was just so easy and smooth flowing at this wedding.  The purple, cream and black color scheme worked beautifully, and Larissa helped Heather to look absolutely gorgeous.  We hope that you love the photos! (of course many thanks to our lovely associate photographer, Maegan, for her help at this wedding, many of these photos are hers:))

Old Lyme Country Club Wedding – Lindsay and T.J.!

Lindsay and T.J. were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny day for their wedding a couple weeks back.  We were all pretty nervous about a potential downpour, but the sun stayed out.  We loved the preppy, nautical feel to this wedding, including the navy and pink color scheme, as well as the locations for the portraits.  After getting ready at parents’ homes in the area, the ceremony was at The Old Lyme Congregational Church.  We traveled over to Fenwick for portraits, and then back to The Old Lyme Country Club for their fun reception.  Lindsay and T.J. we had such an nice time working with the two of you, really you are both so very sweet.  We hope that you love the photos!
